Abstract:
Provided are a lens unit capable of maintaining stable performance even for temperature changes, and an image capturing unit provided with the lens unit. A lens unit is provided with a plurality of lenses which are disposed with the optical axes thereof matching each other. Each of the lenses is taper-fitted to a lens adjacent thereto, or taper-fitted to a spacer with the spacer sandwiched between the lens and the lens adjacent thereto to thereby enclose a space between the lens and the lens adjacent thereto, and in a fitting part between two members: at least one lens of the adjacent two lenses; and the other lens fitted to the lens or the spacer sandwiched between the one lens and the other lens, at least one air passage which causes the space enclosed between the adjacent two lenses to communicate with the outside of the space is provided along the boundary between the two members.
