Description:
A Levelling Apparatus That Can Be Used Integrated with Water Drain

Technical Field

The invention relates to a new alignment and levelling apparatus to provide the installation of water drains used in areas with wet floors such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, gardens, allowing the water to be discharged to be transmitted to the sewer.

Prior Art

Water drains are the parts that used in areas with wet floors such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, gardens, and that allow the water to be discharged to be transmitted to the sewer. Water drains generally consist of cover, frame, lower body and drain part. While the lower body remains in the concrete, the upper body is placed on the lower body.

While installing the water drain on the floor, the cover is positioned so that nothing can enter the said water drain. However, since there is continuous work on the floor, the cover is fixed on the frame with the help of auxiliary tools such as tape etc. so that it does not separate from the frame.

In the prior art, level adjustment tools used between coating materials are utilized while levelling around the water drain. The levels of the surface coatings are determined according to the level of water drainage.

In the international patent application with the code WO2021227558 in the prior art, ceramic tile spiral levelling tool is mentioned. Said ceramic tile spiral levelling tool comprises an upper levelling base, a knob nut, a lower levelling iron hook and a screw rod. Said levelling device is positioned between the coating materials while placing the coating materials. By bringing the two coating materials to the same level, a flat surface coating is obtained. The said levelling device is used only between surface coating materials. It has no function to hold the frame and cover of the water drain together. In addition, since the distance between the top surface of the surface coating and the cover is adjusted by the craftsman, there is a possibility of incorrect operation.

The levelling tool is mentioned in the TR2020/14899 national patent application in the prior art. The mentioned levelling tool includes;

- at least one lower arm surface for transmitting a pressing force on the coating material,

- at least one arm upper surface having at least one connecting surface for mounting a holding apparatus thereon and,

- at least two arms joined at an angle at the planar surface with respect to each other and differing from each other in the distance between the arm lower surface and the connecting surface; and is used by placing it on a holding apparatus for the purpose of adjusting the levels, especially in floor and wall coatings (coverings), and can be applied quickly, easily, practically and with less energy by one hand.

The said levelling tool is only used between surface coating materials. It does not function as holding the frame and cover in the water drain together. In addition, since the required distance between the upper surface of the surface coating and the cover is set by the craftsman, there is a possibility of incorrect operation.

Purpose of the Invention

The aim of the invention is to provide a water drain where the cover and the frame stay together during the assembly process and the level of the water drain can be adjusted without using an additional levelling apparatus by bringing the cover material surface to the same level. It is a levelling apparatus for mounting the water drain developed to achieve the aforementioned purposes, and is characterized in that including a levelling part (40) fixed to at least one corner of the frame (20), which enables the cover (10) and the frame (20) to stand together during the mounting process, and which enables the level adjustment of the water drain without using an additional levelling apparatus by bringing the surface of the coating material (K) and the cover (10) to the desired level, and which is fixed to at least one comer of the frame (20).

Explanation of the Invention

The invention relates to water drains which are used in areas with wet floors such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, and gardens, ensure the transmission of the water to be drained to the sewer, and a levelling part (40) used in integration with the water drains. Said invention includes cover (10), frame (20), adjustment part (30), levelling part (40), sealing membrane (50) and coating material (K).

The cover (10) used in the water drain is placed on the frame (20). With the cover (10), the garbage large enough to cause clogging of the water drain is prevented from entering the water drain.

The anti-odour part provides the fixing of the frame (20), which prevents the bad odour and pests formed in the waste water pipes from reaching the usage area. The anti-odour part prevents the bad odour and pests that occur in the waste water pipes from reaching the usage area. The anti-odour part is positioned inside the adjustment part (30). Said adjustment part (30) ensures that the used water is transmitted to the waste water line.

The cover (10) is positioned on the frame (20) used in the water drain. A levelling part (40) is positioned on at least one side of the cover (10) so that it does not fall over the frame (20). The levelling part (40) ensures that the cover (10) and the frame (20) stand together. There is a retaining ring (41) at the end of the levelling part (40). The retaining ring (41) ensures that the levelling part (40) can be easily grasped and pulled off by using the hand or any auxiliary tool after the level adjustment is made.

The levelling part (40) ensures that the cover (10) does not detach from the frame (20) and also provides level adjustment of the drain. The level of the coating materials (K) may not be equal due to the floor, improperly drawn mortar used, craftsman error and/or the type of surface coating used. Especially in the area where the water drain is used, the level should be adjusted very well.

There are long ears on both sides of the levelling part (40). There is a coating material contact surface (42) at the bottom of the ear. Said coating material contact surface (42) is contacted by the upper surface of the coating material (K). In this way, the surface of the coating material (K) and the cover (10) come to the same level. While the levelling part (40) and the cover (10) are prevented from being separated from the frame (20), the level of the water drain is also adjusted without using an additional level detection tool.

There is a retaining ring (41) and perforation holes (45) on the levelling part (40). The retaining ring (41) ensures that the levelling part (40) can be easily grasped and pulled. With the drawing process, the levelling part (40) is torn from the perforation holes (45). The perforation holes (45) ensure that the levelling part (40) is easily torn by hand pulling.

There are bottom tabs (43) and top tabs (44) inside the levelling part (40). Said bottom tab (43) and top tab (44) ensure that the cover (10) is firmly fixed to the frame (20). It also ensures that the levelling part (40) stands on the frame (20) stably. Thanks to the stable stop of the levelling part (40), possible errors are avoided while adjusting the level.

The cover (10) must be lower than the upper surface of the coating material (K) in order to ensure that the water is sent to the sewage system in a healthy manner in the water drains. There is a “f ’ distance between the coating material contact surface (42) and the upper tab. Said distance "t" is 1-2 mm in the preferred embodiment of the invention. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the measures of the “t” distance can be changed depending on the demand and need. With the distance “t”, the water is easily taken over the surface coating (K) and sent to the sewage system. In addition, personal measurement errors are prevented during the assembly phase.

There are protrusions (21) on the edges of the frame (20). There is a fixing back plate (21.1) on each protrusion (21). The perforation holes (45) on the levelling part (40) sit on the fixing back plate (21.1). The part of the perforation holes (45) facing the fixing back plate (21.1) is generally in the form of a triangular channel (45.1). The triangular channel (45.1) ensures that the levelling part (40) is positioned comfortably on the frame (20). In addition, the up-and-down movement of the levelling part (40) is prevented by the seating of the perforation holes (45) on the fixing back plate (21.1) located on the protrusions (21). In this way, it is prevented that the levelling part (40) moves up and down while the level is adjusted around the water drain.

A levelling apparatus to provide the installation of water drains used in areas with wet floors such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, gardens, provide the transmission of the water to be discharged to the sewer, and characterized in that; including;

- a levelling part (40) which is fixed on at least one side of the frame (20), ensures the levelling of the water drain without using an additional levelling apparatus by bringing the cover (10) with the surface of the coating material (K) to the desired level.
