Abstract:
The present invention provides: a light absorption filter including a wavelength selective absorption layer, which contains a resin and a squalin dye expressed by general formula (1) given below, and an adjoining layer disposed on at least one surface of this wavelength selective absorption layer, wherein the adjoining layer contains acid or a basic compound; an optical filter utilizing this light absorption filter as well as a manufacturing method thereof; and an organic electroluminescent display device, an inorganic electroluminescent display device, and a liquid crystal display device which are equipped with this optical filter. In the formula given above, A and B independently represent an aryl group which may have a substituent, a heterocyclic group which may have a substituent, or -CH=G. G represents a heterocyclic group which may have a substituent.
