Abstract:
This lidar unit 100 has: an LD driver 12, laser diode 13, and scanner 14 that correspond to an emission unit; a light-receiving element 16, current/voltage conversion circuit 17, and A/D converter 18 that correspond to a light-receiving unit; a landmark position prediction unit 2 and landmark map acquisition unit 3 that acquire position information indicating the position of a landmark on a map; and a synchronization control unit 11 that generates a variable pulse trigger signal S2 and a segment extraction signal S3. The landmark position prediction unit 2 sets, on the basis of a predicted value for the current position of a vehicle and the position of the landmark on the map, a predicted angle range Rtag in which the landmark is predicted to be. The synchronization control unit 11 generates the variable pulse trigger signal S2 and segment extraction signal S3 such that the light pulse scanning density is higher in the predicted angle range Rtag than in other ranges.
