Abstract:
This light-emitting device (10) comprises: a mount substrate (110) having a mount surface (170); a light-emitting element (120) disposed on the mount surface (170); a light-transmitting member (130) disposed on the light-emitting element (120); and a resin member (160) that covers a side surface (180) of the light-emitting element (120) and a side surface (181) of the light-transmitting member (130). The resin member (160) has a cover part (250) that covers the outer edge section of the uppermost surface (190) of the light-transmitting member (130). The height (A1) from the mount surface (170) to the uppermost section of the cover part (250) is greater than the height (A2) from the mount surface (170) to the uppermost surface (190) of the light- transmitting member (130). The uppermost surface (190) of the light-transmitting member (130) has an exposure region (260) that is exposed from the resin member (160).
