A light-emitting element comprising a quantum dot layer (Em) that is positioned between an anode and a cathode and contains first quantum dots (QD1) and second quantum dots (QD2), wherein the quantum dot layer (Em) contains crystalline bodies (cB) that are the cores (cC) of the first quantum dots (QD1) and inorganic amorphous bodies (aB) that are formed on least a part of the surfaces of the crystalline bodies (cB).
