Title:
LIGHT-EMITTING ELEMENT AND ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DISPLAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/013689
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a light-emitting element having a configuration/structure wherein no short circuit occurs between a first electrode and a second electrode even when foreign matter or a projection is present on the first electrode.  The light-emitting element comprises a first electrode (21), an organic layer (23) including a light-emitting layer composed of an organic light-emitting material, a semi-transmissive/reflective film (40), a resistive layer (50) and a second electrode (22) in this order.  The first electrode (21) reflects the light from the light-emitting layer, and the second electrode (22) transmits the light transmitted through the semi-transmissive/reflective film (40).  The average film thickness of the semi-transmissive/reflective film (40) on the organic layer (23) is within the range from 1 nm to 6 nm.
