Abstract:

Provided is a magnetic detector which uses a plurality of magnetoresistance effect elements to obtain a plurality of magnetic field detection outputs. A common substrate (11) has two detection units (15A, 15B). The detection units (15A, 15B) have the same structure in which a magnetoresistance effect element (55) and a fixed resistor (56) are connected in series on a circuit forming layer (20) forming a detection circuit. On the surface of each of the detection units (15A, 15B) provided are a ground terminal portion (31), a power supply terminal portion (32), and an output terminal portion (33). Positive potential applying units of the left and right detection units (15A, 15B) are connected to each other with a power supply line portion (17) and ground portions are connected to each other with a ground line portion (18). Therefore, by using either one of the ground terminal portions (31) and either one of the power supply terminal portions (32), the two detection units (15A, 15B) can be energized. Moreover, the detection outputs can be obtained individually from the respective output terminal portions (33) of the detection units (15A, 15B).
