Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a light-receiving element and a ranging device with which it is possible to lower the on-voltage of a transfer transistor and to prevent a transfer failure at the time of low on-voltage. The light-receiving element (light-receiving portion 12) and a ranging device (10) of the present invention are provided with a plurality of pixels (40a) arranged in a matrix, wherein each of the plurality of pixels comprises: a photoelectric conversion portion (photodiode 51a); first and second charge accumulation portions (52a, 53a) for accumulating charges generated by the photoelectric conversion unit; first and second transfer transistors (61a, 62a) for transferring charges from the photoelectric conversion unit to each of the first and second charge accumulation portions; first and second amplifying transistors (67a, 68a) for amplifying respective potentials of the first and second charge accumulation portions; and connecting wires (63x, 67x, 73a, 73x, 83a) for electrically connecting the first charge accumulation portion (52a) and the first amplifying transistor (67a). A first transfer control wire (81) electrically connected to the gate of each first transfer transistor (61a) of the same row of pixels extends in a row direction in a first wiring layer (upper-layer wiring layer), and the connecting wires extend to the first wiring layer (upper-layer wiring layer).
