Abstract:
This light source device for an endoscope includes: a light source; a hole section into which a light source connector is inserted and which includes a first opening formed in a portion of an advancing path of the light source connector, and a second opening disposed more to the light source side than the first opening; a first lid part that is movable between a position for covering at least a portion of the first opening and a position for exposing the first opening; and a second lid part that is movable between a position for covering the second opening and a position for exposing the second opening. In a state in which the light source connector is passed through the first and the second openings and is disposed at a position for enabling reception of light from the light source, the first and the second lid parts assume the positions for exposing the first and the second openings; and in a state in which the light source connector is not inserted into the hole section, the first and the second lid parts assume the positions for covering the first and the second openings.
