Provided are a light source device (2) capable of smoothly suppressing the curving of a light scanning trajectory over a wavelength conversion member and a light projection device (1) equipped therewith. The light source device (2) comprises: a laser light source emitting laser light; the wavelength conversion member (15) converting the wavelength of the laser light into another wavelength while diffusing the light after the wavelength conversion; a light deflector (14) causing the rotation of a mirror (17) on which the laser light is incident, thereby causing the laser light to scan the surface of incidence of the wavelength conversion member (15) at least in one dimension. The mirror (17) is disposed in such a manner that the laser light is incident on the surface of incidence of the wavelength conversion member (15) from an oblique direction. The light deflector (14) is configured such that a drive unit is provided with the power to suppress the curving of the laser light trajectory over the wavelength conversion member (15) while the mirror (17) is rotated.
