Abstract:
A lighting device (20) is provided with: a light source (21); a light guide plate (30) that has on the side end surface thereof a light entry surface (30a) that faces the light source (21), and that guides light that has entered from the light entry surface (30a) so as to emit illuminating light from a light emission surface (30b) that is provided to the front surface of said light guide plate (30); a reflecting member (24) that is arranged to face the back surface of the light guide plate (30); and a light-blocking member (26) that is arranged in the vicinity of the light entry surface (30a) and that absorbs light emitted from the light emission surface (30b). The light guide plate (30) is provided with: a light guide section (35) that comprises the light entry surface (30a), the light emission surface (30b), and prisms (33) that include an inclined surface (33b) and that are lined up in the optical axis direction (X); a low refractive index layer (36) that is adjacent to the back surface (35a) of the light guide section (35) and that has a smaller refractive index than the light guide section (35); and a light condensing section (37) that is formed on the opposite side surface of the light emission surface (30b) with respect to the low refractive index layer (36), and that comprises prisms (38) that include an inclined surface (38b) and that are lined up in the optical axis direction (X). A tape-like member (27) for absorbing light that is emitted from the back surface of the light condensing section (37) is provided in the vicinity of the light entry surface (30a).
