Abstract:
Provided is a lightweight, power-saving, and high-efficiency lighting device that is capable of generating both diffused light and a focused beam of light by itself. A cover section (12) for covering the outer side of a light source (32) is provided at a base section (14) where the light source (32) is provided. The cover section (12) is made of a material that exhibits optical transparency or a light-diffusing property and elasticity or flexibility, such that by pushing the cover section (12) inward toward the light source (32), the cover section (12) can be switched from an undeformed constitution (12a) in which the cover section is positioned away from the light source (32) to a deformed constitution (12b) in which the cover section (12) is deformed to move to a position close to the light source (32). A light irradiation part, which irradiates the light emitted from the light source (32) toward the outside of the cover section (12), is provided on the portion of the cover section (12) close to the light source (32) when the cover section (12) has the deformed constitution (12b).
