Abstract:
The present specification provides a method by which a device determines a Bell state including a first state, a second state, and a third state in a quantum cryptography communication system, the method comprising: performing an initial access operation with at least one other device; receiving two photons from the at least one other device; determining whether the two photons are in the first state on the basis of the results of splitting by means of a beam splitter, the delay time being applied according to a polarization state by means of a first polarization beam splitter to a pulse split by the beam splitter; determining whether the two photons are in the second state on the basis of a detection time difference due to the delay time, the interference occurring, by means of a half wave plate, a second polarization beam splitter, and a polarization alignment module, in a pulse split by the first polarization beam splitter; and determining whether the two photons are in the third state on the basis of a result of the interference.
