Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of liquid crystal compositions, and specifically relates to a liquid crystal composition containing a 2-methyl-3,4,5-trifluorobenzene structure. The composition of the present invention comprises one or more compounds represented by general formula I: (I) a compound represented by general formula II: (II) and a compound represented by general formula III: (III). The present invention increases an elastic constant of the liquid crystal composition by adding the compound represented by general formula I, increases the dielectric anisotropy of the liquid crystal composition by increasing a general formula II-type compound, and reduces rotational viscosity by increasing the compound represented by general formula III. In addition, it is discovered in the present invention that the compound represented by general formula I has a relatively low rotational viscosity while having a very large elastic constant, and may keep the rotational viscosity unchanged while improving the elastic constant of the liquid crystal composition, thereby satisfying the requirements for a liquid crystal display of high contrast and rapid response.
