Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of liquid crystal materials, and in particular to a terphenyl structure-containing liquid crystal composition having a large elastic constant and an application thereof. The terphenyl structure-containing liquid crystal composition having a large elastic constant at least contains one or more compounds represented by general formula I, at least contains one or more compounds represented by general formula II, and at least contains one or more compounds represented by general formula III. The liquid crystal composition contains: (1) 1-35% of compounds represented by general formula I; (2) 5-35% of compounds represented by general formula II; and (3) 20-70% of compounds represented by general formula III. The liquid crystal composition has a large elastic constant and a rapid response speed. Moreover, the increase of the liquid crystal elastic constant facilitates improving the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules to avoid the dark-state light leakage, and the use in a liquid crystal display can improve the contrast ratio of the liquid crystal display.
