Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a liquid crystal composition containing a dye compound, in which the solubility of the dye compound is excellent and the dye compound is retained excellently and which has satisfactory light resistance; and an element in which the liquid crystal composition is used. A liquid crystal composition containing a dye compound, in which the solubility of the dye compound is excellent and the dye compound is retained excellently and which has satisfactory light resistance, can be produced by using a combination of at least one specific alkenyl compound and a compound having a specific difluorinated structure. The liquid crystal composition containing a dye compound is useful as an element, particularly a dimming element.
