A liquid crystal display device and a back light module are provided. The back light module includes: an aluminum extrusion (202), an LED circuit board (203) arranged on the aluminum extrusion (202) and a light guide plate (201). An LED (204) is placed on the LED circuit board (203), wherein, the aluminum extrusion (202) is provided with a positioning part (207). The positioning part (207) is placed between the LED (204) and the light guide plate (201), and abuts against the incident surface of the light guide plate (201). The back light module can position the light guide plate (201) and the LED (204) by the positioning part (207) which is arranged between the LED (204) and the light guide plate (201) on the aluminum extrusion (202), and positioning factors which affect the light coupling distance between the LED (204) and the light guide plate (201) are reduced by the positioning and assembling mode of the LED (204), so that the light coupling efficiency can be assured.
