Title:
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/118745
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a liquid crystal display element in which adhesion between a liquid crystal layer and an electrode can be increased, and it is possible to suppress the occurrence of bubbles or separation in the element and a decrease in optical characteristics even in a harsh environment in which the element is exposed to high temperature/high humidity or light irradiation for a long time. A liquid crystal display element having a liquid crystal layer obtained by curing, with ultraviolet irradiation, a liquid crystal composition including a liquid crystal and a polymerizable composition positioned between a pair of substrates provided with an electrode, and furthermore, a transmission/scatter-type liquid crystal display element that is in a scattering state when a voltage is not applied, and that is in a transmitting state when a voltage is applied, the liquid crystal display element being characterized in that the polymerizable composition includes one or more compounds having the structure represented by formula [1A]. (In the formula, * represents a bond.)
