Abstract:
An electric kettle (1) is provided with: a heating coil (320) through which a high-frequency current flows; a housing (310) accommodating the heating coil (320); a container (100) which can be placed on the housing (310), and in which a liquid is stored; and a heating body (110) which is provided in a bottom portion of the container (100) to heat the liquid in the container (100). Here, the heating body (110) generates heat as a result of electromagnetic induction from the heating coil (320) in a state in which the container (100) has been placed on the housing (310).
