Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lithium ion battery negative electrode material with a high specific capacity and a preparation method therefor. The lithium ion battery negative electrode material with a high specific capacity is a sea urchin-shaped carbon-coated cobalt oxide composite material. The sea urchin-shaped carbon-coated cobalt oxide composite material, as the lithium ion battery negative electrode material with a high specific capacity, is prepared by preparing sea urchin-shaped tricobalt tetraoxide with a cobalt chloride precursor through hydro-thermal synthesis, and then subjecting same to carbon deposition through a vapor deposition method. The tricobalt tetroxide is used as an active substance, and by means of carbon coating, conductivity is provided for the overall electrode material and the structural stability of the sea urchin-shaped tricobalt tetroxide during charging and discharging is improved. In addition, under the action of hydrogen during the vapor deposition, the cobalt valence state of the sea urchin-shaped tricobalt tetroxide will change, and cobalt in a mixed valence state can provide additional conductivity for the electrode material.
