Abstract:
Provided is a lithium secondary battery having reduced Hi-pot defects and improved capacity retention. The lithium secondary battery according to one aspect of to the present invention comprises: a negative electrode; a positive electrode; and a separator interposed between the negative electrode and the positive electrode, wherein the negative electrode includes a Si-based negative electrode active material, the separator is provided with a separator substrate having a plurality of pores and including a polyolefin resin, the polydispersity index (PDI) of the polyolefin resin is 2.5 to 4.2, the average particle diameter of the pores is 20 to 40 nm, and the maximum particle diameter of the pores is at most 50 nm.
