Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent a large current flow during energization by normal load drive control in the event of a load short-circuit. A load drive device 100 is provided with: drive switches 61, 62 for switching on or off a current supplied from a power supply to a load 70; a switch drive circuit 20 for sending a drive signal to the drive switches 61, 62 on the basis of a control command from a computing device 10; and a constant-current supply 40 for supplying a current to the load 70 without passing through the drive switches 61, 62. The switch drive circuit 20, if the voltage across the load 70 becomes less than or equal to a determination value in a state in which the drive switches 61, 62 are off and a current is being supplied from the constant-current supply 40 to the load 70, performs control so that the drive switches 61, 62 are not switched on.
