Abstract:

A lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines which comprises a base oil comprising a mineral oil and/or synthetic oil and, incorporated therein, polyisobutylene having a weight-average molecular weight of 500,000 or higher. This composition attains a small oil consumption. The lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engines can reduce the consumption of, in particular, mileage-saving-type engine oils containing a low-viscosity base oil.
