Abstract:
A machine-tool has at least one work spindle for receiving tools for machining workpieces located in a work space, a machine frame (1) in or on which carriages movable in the x, y and z directions are arranged, and a swivellingly mounted workpiece holding device (2). According to the invention, the machine frame (1) is shaped as a closed hollow cube and a guide part (10) is arranged in the y or z direction on each of the two opposite inner sides of the machine frame (1) shaped as a hollow cube for receiving both ends of a crossbeam (8) which extends in the x direction, and/or the motor (M) of the workpiece holding device (2) has a stator (12) which is coaxial to its swivelling axis (A), a cavity (12.1) and curved guiding segments (13) arranged at its periphery for mounting purposes; and/or a movement transmitted from a first machine part (9.1, 9.3) to the first covering element (22) can be converted into a movement of the second covering element (21) perpendicular to the first movement by a functional connection between covering elements (22, 21) of a protective device.
