Abstract:
This machine tool comprises a headstock that rotatably supports a workpiece main shaft, and a camera that captures images of a tool held in a prescribed area. The camera is fixed to the headstock at a position above the workpiece main shaft such that an optical axis is inclined with respect to the vertical direction. An illumination unit arranged facing the camera may be further provided. In such a case, a region is formed between the camera and the illumination unit. The camera is arranged at a position closer to the headstock than the illumination unit.
