Abstract:
A machining condition lookup device (1) looks up machining conditions for electrical discharge machining with respect to a wire electrical discharge machine (100) that performs electrical discharge machining by generating electrical discharge in a gap between a wire and an article to be machined. The machining condition lookup device (1) comprises: a narrowing-down unit (10) that divides an electrical discharge energy range, which is a range in which values of electrical discharge energy are distributed for each machining condition set in advance, into a plurality of electrical discharge energy ranges, reads machining conditions in each of the plurality of electrical discharge energy ranges, and specifies one of the plurality of electrical discharge energy ranges on the basis of the results of trial machining that conforms to each of the read machining conditions, thereby narrowing down a machining condition group serving as the subject of lookup; and a machining condition determination unit (11) that determines a machining condition for the electrical discharge machining from within the machining condition group.
