Title:
MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/044501
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A magnetic resonance imaging device includes: magnetic field generation means and control means for controlling reception means according to a predetermined pulse sequence. The predetermined pulse sequence includes an unnecessary material suppressing sequence unit for erasing a signal from an unnecessary material which is not a measurement object and a main imaging sequence unit for measuring a nuclear magnetic resonance signal used for creation of an examinee. The unnecessary material suppressing sequence unit generates two or more high-frequency magnetic field pulses so as to spatially homogenize the magnetization of the unnecessary material in the imaging space when a first high-frequency magnetic pulse is applied in the main imaging sequence unit. The magnetic resonance imaging device further includes adjusting means for adjusting a flip angle of the two or more high-frequency magnetic field pulses. The control means applies the two or more high-frequency magnetic pulses with the flip angle adjusted by the adjusting means.
