Abstract:
A magnetic sensor 1 comprises: a plurality of sensing elements 31 which are composed of soft magnetic material, have a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, have a uniaxial magnetic anisotropy in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction, sense a magnetic field by means of a magnetic impedance effect, and are arranged in the transverse direction with a gap therebetween; and a connecting portion 32 connecting longitudinal ends of the sensing elements 31 adjacent to each other in the transverse direction. The magnetic sensor 1 is characterized in that the connecting portion 32 decreases in width in the transverse direction with increasing proximity to the sensing elements 31 along the longitudinal direction.
