Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of reducing the possibility that an unintentional entry time or exit time of a person entering or a person leaving a room will be recorded. This entry/exit management system 1 comprises a biometric authentication device 200 and a switch signal transmission means 300A. The biometric authentication device includes a biometric authentication means 200A and a mode switching means 200B. The mode switching means can switch the biometric authentication device between: a stamp mode for recording an entry and/or exit when the biometric authentication means finishes performing authentication; and an authentication mode for only causing the biometric authentication means to perform authentication. The switch signal transmission means transmits, to the biometric authentication device, a switch signal for causing the mode switching means to switch between the modes. The biometric authentication device switches from the authentication mode to the stamp mode when the switch signal is sent from the switch signal transmission means.
