Abstract:
This manual-transmission-type straddled vehicle is equipped with: an engine; a multi-phase brushless motor that is provided to one end portion of a crankshaft of the engine, starts the engine, and is driven by the engine to generate power; and a motor driver that switches the current supplied to the multi-phase brushless motor. An air cleaner and a battery are disposed aligned in the front-back direction so as to bridge two regions defined by dividing a space that includes the manual-transmission-type straddled vehicle into two using a center plane that extends in the up-down direction and the front-back direction and passes through the center of the manual-transmission-type straddled vehicle in the right-left direction. The motor driver is disposed such that, in a space between a side cover and the air cleaner and battery, at least part of the motor driver overlaps with both the air cleaner and the battery as seen from the right-left direction. The air cleaner purifies air to be supplied to the engine. The side cover covers at least part of each of the air cleaner and the battery as seen from the right-left direction.
