Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a manufacturing method for a pneumatic tyre (1), the method comprising a green tyre formation process in which an unvulcanized carcass ply (6A) is adhered to the outer surface of a rigid core (20). The green tyre formation process comprises: a step in which a plurality of rectangular-sheet-shaped first ply pieces (13) are continuously formed by sequentially cutting a long ribbon-shaped ply (12) from the tip, in the ply-width direction; a ply piece formation step in which a plurality of rectangular-sheet-shaped second ply pieces (14) are continuously formed; and carcass formation step in which the first and second ply pieces (13, 14) are used to form an unvulcanized carcass ply (6A). The second ply pieces (14) are arranged so as to not overlap with the first ply pieces (13) on the tyre equator (Co), and so as to directly overlap with the first ply pieces (13) at an inner end section (14i) in the radial direction of the second ply pieces (14).
