Abstract:
This map updating server is provided with a server side update management unit (19a) which, if a confirmation request is received when there are update data following the start of a temporary road change, responds with a confirmation result instructing that the update data are to be used temporarily, and delivers the update data, and if the confirmation request is received when there are update data following completion of a temporary road change, responds with the confirmation result instructing that the update data prior to the start of the temporary road change are to be used, and the vehicle-mounted terminal is provided with a vehicle-mounted terminal side update management unit (10a) which, if instructed by the map updating server, as the confirmation result, to use the update data temporarily, uses the update data that have been delivered, and if instructed, as the confirmation result, to use the update data prior to the start of the temporary road change, temporarily uses the update data by using the map data prior to the start of the temporary road change instead of the update data.
