Abstract:
Disclosed are a mass transfer device and a transfer method thereof. The mass transfer device comprises: a transfer container, the transfer container holding an insulating liquid (105), wherein two electrode plates (104) arranged opposite each other are provided in the transfer container, and the two electrode plates (104) have opposite electric polarities; a second substrate (107) for accommodating a transferred LED chip (103) is provided on a surface of one of the electrode plates (104) opposite the other electrode plate (104); and a laser-emitting head (101) is provided outside the transfer container, the laser-emitting head (101) is aligned with the LED chip (103) on a first substrate (102), the first substrate (102) is arranged between the two electrode plates (104) and is mounted on a first displacement device, and the first displacement device is used for controlling the first substrate (102) to vertically move downwards. According to the mass transfer method, there is no need to use a transfer head to pick up the LED chip, and thus the transfer process of an LED chip will not be limited by the size of micro LED chips, thereby greatly meeting transfer requirements of micro LED chips of various sizes.
