Abstract:
Provided are: a material for electrical connection members that can maintain, over the long term, electrical conductivity required for electrical connection and has a coating layer on the surface thereof; an electrical connection member; and a method for producing the material for electrical connection members. The electrical connection member material 1 (1', 1'') has: a base material 10 comprising metal; and a coating layer 11 that coats the surface of the base material 10. The coating layer 11 includes a metal oxide and is configured as a layer having semiconductor properties. Also provided is an electrical connection member that comprises the electrical connection member material 1. Further provided is a production method for the electrical connection member material 1, that performs, in order: a laminating step in which a laminate is formed by laminating onto the surface of the base material 10, in order, a first raw material layer comprising a first metal and a second raw material layer comprising a second metal; and an oxidizing step in which the first metal layer is oxidized, by heating the laminate in an atmosphere that contains oxygen, and the coating layer 11 is formed.
