Abstract:
Provided are: a novel material that maintains flexibility, which is an advantage of materials that use fibers, and has a small thermal shrinkage ratio; a method for manufacturing the material; a partial welding material using the material; a composite material; and a method for manufacturing a molded article.
The material comprises a first region, a fiber region, and a second region sequentially in a thickness direction. Each of the first region and the second region is a resin layer independently constituted by 20 to 100 mass% of a thermoplastic resin component and 80 to 0 mass% of reinforcing fibers. The fiber region is constituted by 20 to 100 mass% of thermoplastic resin fibers and 80 to 0 mass% of reinforcing fibers. Each of the thermoplastic resin component included in the first region and the thermoplastic resin component included in the second region independently has a temperature-rising crystallization energy of 2 J/g or more as measured by differential scanning calorimetry. The thermoplastic resin fibers included in the fiber region have a temperature-rising crystallization energy of less than 1 J/g as measured by differential scanning calorimetry. The temperature-rising crystallization energy represents a value measured by heating the thermoplastic resin component or the thermoplastic fibers from 25°C to a temperature of a melting point + 20°C at a temperature-rising rate of 10°C per minute in a nitrogen stream using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC).
