Abstract:
A matrix calculation method and device. The method comprises: chunking, in units of subblocks of a size of M×N and by rows, input data of a first matrix waiting for multiplication, so as to obtain at least one first subblock; chunking, in units of subblocks of a size of N×R and by columns, input data of a second matrix waiting for multiplication, so as to obtain at least one second subblock, the M, N and R being all positive integers; determining one or more target subblock combinations, each target subblock combination comprising a first subblock and a second subblock, and at least one element in the first subblock and at least one element in the second subblock being elements waiting for multiplication; and using each target subblock combination of the one or more target subblock combinations as input data of a matrix calculation device, so as to obtain a product result of the first matrix and the second matrix outputted by the matrix calculation device.
