Abstract:
 Provided is a measurement method for amyloid precursor protein (APP) cleavage peptides including amyloid beta (Aβ) peptides. This method for measuring APP cleavage peptides in a blood sample includes: a step for bringing a blood sample into contact, within a binding solution, with an antibody-immobilizing carrier that includes a carrier and an antibody bonded to the carrier and selected from the group consisting of immunoglobulins having antigen-binding sites capable of recognizing APP cleavage peptides, and immunoglobulin fragments containing antigen-binding sites capable of recognizing APP cleavage peptides, and bringing about binding of the antibody-immobilizing carrier and APP cleavage peptides contained in the blood sample; a step for washing the bound antibody-immobilizing carrier and APP cleavage peptides with a washing solution; a step for dissociating the APP cleavage peptides from the antibody-immobilizing carrier, using an acidic aqueous solution containing an organic solvent; and a step for detecting the dissociated APP cleavage peptides.
