Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a measurement reconfiguration message sending method and apparatus, which can be applied in a communication system. The method comprises: sending indication information to a network device, wherein the indication information is used for indicating that uplink compensation resources and/or downlink compensation resources which are configured by the network device are insufficient; and receiving a measurement reconfiguration message, which is sent by the network device, wherein the measurement reconfiguration message comprises a measurement event A7 for cell handover. By means of the embodiments of the present application, a network device reissues a measurement reconfiguration message by means of resource insufficiency indication information, such that a terminal device can quickly perform re-measurement, thereby solving the problem of a terminal device being of relatively good quality but unable to perform re-measurement due to insufficient resources, providing a basis for the terminal device to perform cell handover in a subsequent step and avoiding the problem of the terminal device being in a hanging state.
