Abstract:
Provided is a medical catheter which can maintain blood flow during a procedure and precisely control the size thereof in accordance with the diameter of a blood vessel. The medical catheter, as a medical catheter inserted into a blood vessel, comprises: a catheter main body; a shape transformation member which is disposed outside the catheter main body and is transformed into a first shape and a second shape; a drive member which transforms the shape of the shape transformation member; and a manipulation member which drives the drive member through a manipulation of a user, wherein the maximum value of the diameter of the second shape of the shape transformation member is greater than the maximum value of the diameter of the first shape, and wherein a hollow space through which blood flows in the axial direction of the catheter main body is formed in at least a part between the catheter main body and the shape transformation member.
