Abstract:
Provided are a medical image processing device, a processor device, an endoscopic system, a medical image processing method, and a program, with which it is possible to prevent highlighting or the like, indicative of a pathological lesion having been detected, from interfering with observation by a practitioner or the like. The present invention is provided with: a recognition unit (42) which detects regions of attention from an acquired medical image (38) and classifies those regions of attention; a display control unit (44) which displays the classification of the regions of attention and highlighting that indicates the regions of attention in a highlighted manner, on the same screen as that on which an observation object in the medical image is to be displayed; and an observation image switching unit (48) which performs switching as to which of a still image or an image sequence is to be displayed using a display device (16), wherein when the observation image switching unit is used to switch displaying of an observation image from a still image to an image sequence, the display control unit makes an alteration to reduce the visibility of the highlighting and/or the classification as compared with when the image sequence of the observation image is displayed.
