Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medical pump configured such that when a low flow rate operation is performed after the administration of a drug solution has been completed, there is no misunderstanding that the administration of the drug solution is incomplete. This medical pump control method makes it possible to determine that a blockage has occurred when the internal pressure of a fluid infusion tube is equal to or above a set value, and comprises: a low flow rate step (11) in which, after the administration of a drug solution to a patient has been completed, a low flow rate operation is performed in which the drug solution is transferred at a low flow rate as a means of preventing the formation of a thrombus; a blockage pressure-reducing step (14) in which the pressure in the fluid infusion tube is reduced by operating a drive motor in reverse when it has been determined that there is a blockage (12) during the low flow rate step (11); and a stopping step (15) in which the drive motor is stopped after operating in reverse. In the stopping step (15), the drive motor is stopped (15-4) when the cumulative quantity of solution that has been transferred reaches a value that is equal to or slightly above the scheduled dose of the drug solution.
