Abstract:
Provided is a medium conveyance device that is capable of suppressing the occurrence of wrinkles in a medium while suppressing the occurrence of tears in the medium. The medium conveyance device includes: a pair of feeding rollers that are disposed, with a spacing therebetween, in a direction orthogonal to a medium conveyance direction and that separate and feed a medium; and a pair of conveyance rollers that are disposed, with a spacing therebetween in a direction orthogonal to the medium conveyance direction, downstream in the medium conveyance direction from the pair of feeding rollers. The pair of conveyance rollers are configured such that: at least one of the conveyance rollers has an outer end, in the direction orthogonal to the medium conveyance direction, the diameter of which is greater than that of an inner end; and the total D of the difference between the diameter of the outer end and that of the inner end of each of the conveyance rollers is 0.06-1.00 mm.
