The present application provides a message processing method and system, and a user plane function (UPF) device. The method comprises: receiving user equipment (UE) authentication information sent by a session management function (SMF) device; matching a received uplink message of a UE and the UE authentication information; if the matching is successful, adding the UE authentication information to the uplink message and sending same to a first application (APP); and authenticating the UE by means of the first APP according to the UE authentication information. By means of the process above, authentication for the UE is no longer required to be performed by a remote APP, so that the procedure is simplified, overheads of network resources are reduced, rapid authentication of the UE is implemented to achieve the purpose of reducing the time delay of the UE authentication, and the switching speed of the APP is further increased.
