Abstract:
Provided are a metal-resin composite and a method for producing the metal-resin composite, the metal-resin composite having high joining strength (metal joining strength) between a metal member and a thermoplastic resin member and having exceptional plating properties. This metal-resin composite includes a metal member in which the surface is processed by a laser, and a thermoplastic resin member that is joined to the metal member at the surface thereof that was processed by the laser, the thermoplastic resin layer being formed from a resin composition that contains 1-25 parts by mass of a laser direct structuring additive (B) per 100 parts by mass of a thermoplastic resin (A).
