Abstract:
Disclosed is a meter for a vehicle, said meter enabling the differentiation of visual design while achieving lower costs through the commoditization of parts. In the meter—which is for a vehicle and of which a display mechanism (1) is housed within a space (S) formed by a case member (2) and a cover member (3), a convex section (311) is provided to the cover member (3), the convex section (311) is set with a contour that matches the contours of open window sections (W1, W2) of steering wheel covers (C1, C2) and is caused to approach the open window sections (W1, W2) from the back of the steering wheel covers (C1, C2), by which means the periphery of the convex section (311) is covered by the steering wheel covers (C1, C2)—the cover member (3) is provided as a dedicated part wherein the contour of the convex section (311) differs in accordance with the contour of the open window sections (W1, W2) that differ by vehicle model (the types to which mounting will take place) (A, B), and the case member (3) is provided as a common part of a size that encompasses the plurality of differing types of open window sections (W1, W2).
