Abstract:
This methane production system is provided with: a reaction tank to which CO and/or CO2 is supplied and in which CO and/or CO2 is reacted with hydrogen to produce methane and water; a cleaning tank which is located upstream of the reaction tank in the CO and/or CO2 feed direction, and in which a raw material gas containing CO and/or CO2 and water-soluble impurities is brought into contact with water to remove the water-soluble impurities from the raw material gas; a first supply line through which the raw material gas, from which the water-soluble impurities have been removed, is supplied to the reaction tank from the cleaning tank; a second supply line through which the water generated in the reaction tank is supplied to the cleaning tank from the reaction tank so as to be brought into contact with the raw material gas in the cleaning tank.
