Abstract:
According to the present invention: hydrogen is added to CO2 in exhaust gas discharged from a cement production facility, or to CO2 that has been separated and recovered from said exhaust gas, to generate methane; the methane is used as alternative fuel to fossil fuels such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas; and by converting the CO2 in exhaust gas from a cement production facility, which includes large quantities of exhaust gas originating from limestone rather than fossil fuels, to methane and effectively utilizing the methane, the use of fossil fuels can be reduced, energy-derived CO2 can be reduced, and reduction of greenhouse gases can be enhanced.
