Abstract:
Provided is a method by which the time required for analysis can be shortened and various substances produced by microorganisms can be analyzed. A method for analyzing metabolites of microorganisms according to the present invention comprises: a step for supplying a mobile phase containing carbon dioxide in a liquid state, a subcritical state, or a supercritical state to a container in which microorganisms cultured in a medium are housed together with the medium, and thereby moving, to the mobile phase, metabolite components of the microorganisms present in the microorganisms and the medium; a step for introducing, into a column, the mobile phase to which the metabolite components have been moved; and a step for mass-analyzing the metabolite components contained in the mobile phase which has passed through the column.
