Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by user equipment in a wireless communication system may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a base station, configuration information including information enabling a unified transmission configuration indication (TCI) state for a sounding reference signal (SRS), information indicating that the unified TCI state is applied for the SRS, and information regarding an identity (ID) of a serving cell and an ID of a bandwidth part (BWP) referred to apply the unified TCI state; receiving, from the base station, a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) which includes a 1-bit indicator and is for indicating the TCI state of the SRS; if the value of the indicator is a first value, transmitting the SRS to the base station on the basis of the MAC CE indicating the ID of the serving cell and the ID of the BWP included in the configuration information; and if the value of the indicator is a second value, transmitting the SRS to the base station on the basis of the configuration information.
